About The Pension Fund for Agricultural Academics and Veterinary Surgeons
The Pension Fund for Agricultural Academics and Veterinary Surgeons (PJD) is for graduates in the veterinary and agricultural sciences or anyone with a similar education. PJD was established on 17 May 1983. The majority of members are covered by collective agreement pension schemes.
The pension fund also admits employees of businesses and associations in related fields. The pension fund has approximately 9,000 members and assets amounts to approximately DKK 11 billion.
PJD is administered by Sampension Administration A/S.
Member owned pension fund
The pension fund is owned by its members, which means that the members and the owners are the same. There are no shareholders and any profits eventually go back to the members.

Annual general meeting
PJD’s highest authority is the annual general meeting.
The supervisory board consists of nine members, five of them are directly elected by members at the annual general meeting. The Association of Graduates (BSc and MSc) in Agricultural Science, Agri-economics, Horticulture, Forestry, Bio-technology, Natural Resources and Landscape Architecture (JA) appoints two members and the Danish Veterinary Association (DDD) appoints one member, while the final member is elected at the annual general meeting upon the recommendation of the supervisory board.
